My own son, Vincent, has many facial expressions. When I photographed him as a newborn, I'd often say he was my "old soul." He goes from grinning, to frowning, to looking like he's pondering the meaning of life. It's too hard not to snap a ton of shots of him, trying to capture his personality in my camera.
Every once in awhile, I get in the mood to take photos of a "landscape" setting. I was with a friend at the Science Museum (we had taken our kids there for an early summer trip), and I just had to take these 2 pictures.
I mostly shoot (but am not limited to) maternity sessions, births, and family portraits. I am an on-location photographer, which means I take my camera and equipment to a place where you (and your family) feel most comfortable (your own home, a park, anywhere!) I've found that people take the best pictures in a place that is familiar to them. My photos are mix of posed and candid shots with a variety of traditional and non-traditional poses.
